'Shabby chic' branding for new furniture sales company: Absolutely Home
Absolutely Home are an independent retailer of furniture and home furnishings based in South Gloucestershire, supplying landlords with furnishings for both professional and student properties. The branding needed to reflect the 'Shabby chic' style of the furniture that would be available for sale in a way which looked both high end, but also attainable so that it appealed to a wide range of landlords looking to furnish their rental properties.
The logo that was created is simple, high end and classical in appearance - we went with a traditional serif font with a unique heart icon element to replace the 'o' element in the word Home from the business name. The heart icon was to be used as the key visual marque of the logo where rendering the full business name would not be possible - for example in social media avatars etc. We agreed on a muted duck egg blue/green colour as the key brand colour which sits perfectly with an abundance of white space, subtle patterns and grey text to create a 'shabby chic' look. We paired the classical serif font used for the main logo with a condensed italic font to render the business strapline in to complement the brand logo. The heart icon has subsequently been used as a ghost / water mark element in various forms of corporate stationery to enhance the brand messaging.
