Design and build of sexy responsive website for personal stylist Emma Gordon, Mrs Stylist
jonwallacedesign were commissioned by Emma Gordon at Mrs Stylist to initially create the new Mrs Stylist branding and logo as per the case study here. Following the delivery of the gorgeous Mrs Stylist branding, jonwallacedesign were soon working with Emma once more to help architect, design and build out the new Mrs Stylist website. The Mrs Stylist website needed to be responsive - working across devices of all different shapes and sizes, elegant - promoting the high-end services Emma would provide, informative - giving lots of background info on Emma and the services that would be offered and simple - allowing folk to easily navigate the site, understand the services and associated costs with a clear call to action to get in touch to book a slot with Emma.
The first task was to architect the new website solution; we did this after an initial consultation with Emma on what the new website needed to cover in terms of content and key sections. A comprehensive sitemap and a set of responsive wireframes were created to easily illustrate how content would be sectioned and displayed on screen in a variety of different sized layouts. With agreement from Emma, we then took the approved wireframes and designed out a few key pages - adding in the Mrs Stylist logo, colours and typography all as set out in the initial branding project, along with some great eye-catching photography to create a compelling and stylish aesthetic which would be used across all pages of the website. The designed pages were then built out to work on the WordPress platform with a bespoke Mrs Stylist theme being created and woven into the WordPress build on the server. The last stage of the project was to drop in all the content for launch and provide Emma with a set of notes on how to use WordPress to manage and add to the content of the website post launch.
The live website works really well, giving Emma a great - clear channel through which to add new blog posts and mirror her social media updates, enabling website visitors to keep up to date with everything Emma works on as Mrs Stylist!
As my personal styling business evolved I needed a website which would work across all platforms and a logo which would represent my business well and could be used across different media. Jon listened to my brief and designed different options and styles of logo which I could choose from and ensured that my website had the functionality which I needed not only for now but also for my future needs. I was so thrilled with what was produced from my initial brief I recently asked jonwallacedesign to create and produce another logo and holding page for my Personal Styling events.
I would have no hesitation in recommending jonwallacedesign.
