User Interaction design and choreography for new web-based interactive TV platform / application Vidiactive
Vidiactive the 'watch web video on your tv' app/solution required a phase 2 design project to be carried out on the set-top-box UI implementation. The in-built application UI had been created ready for a v1 cut, but now needed visually updating to include new functionality, as well as a general face-lift to give it a more luxurious look and feel.
jonwallacedesign - digital design studio worked with the technical team at Vidiactive to plan out and create new solutions to solve existing UI issues and add in new UI functions/features. The overall look and feel for the new UI was modernised throughout, with a new glossy layer applied to all UI design. Complex functional areas such as the new player transport controls system were initially planned with comprehensive architecture, then clad with the glossy UI finish and processed out into design implementation / specification documents, which allowed the technical team to take the design work and implement to a pixel perfect finish… A real full-service project this one!
